Vision
With over 20 years of experience operating out of Siem Reap, next to Angkor Wat and other important archeological remains of the ancient Khmer empires, Kampoul Heritage Tours can offer you a wide range of fascinating tours including one-day tours from Siem Reap as well as multi destinations tours all over Cambodia.
Our main emphasis is on in-depth cultural tours often accompanied by professional archaeologist. In this way we strive to offer visitors the best possible experience of the cultural realities, both historical and contemporary, that are characteristics of Cambodia.
Our tours are innovative. We always try to develop new itineraries that are exclusive to our agency in order to explore avenues that have often been neglected by others. The Ancient Road tour is a good example of this approach. The common focus of most tour operators on Angkor Wat is valuable but it bypasses the fact that Angkor itself was the capital of a vast empire where a sophisticated network of roads, bridges and various monuments linked the capital to its far-flung outposts. The remains of these ancient roads can be visited thus providing another perspective to better appreciate the role of Angkor in ancient times.
"In the footsteps of Marguerite Duras" is another innovative tour offering a rare opportunity to visit the sites, in both Vietnam and Cambodia, where the famous French author lived and got inspiration for her most important early works ("The Lover" and "The Sea Wall").
A number of our tours will take you out of the beaten tracks. Actually, we like to include in our cultural, Tours a part of adventure which can take many forms: trekking, traditional oxcart riding... These can be arranged upon request.
You can count on our team of professionals to guide you and help you make your stay in Cambodia "a once in a lifetime experience"
Mission
Many of our tours take visitors to communities who sometimes contribute to the implementation of the tours themselves, for instance by clearing bushes around the sites visited or providing explanations about their way of life. We, at Kampoul Heritage Tours, reckon that these contributions should always be compensated in one way or another. We support the idea that communities get involved in tourism activities at the local level provided that a fair return, decided by community members themselves, is offered to them.
In the near future, we also aim at providing local associations doing social work in poor communities and the Angkor Hospital for Children with 2% of Kampoul Heritage Tours benefits.
